A Modern and Glamorous Wedding

It is so exciting when a fellow event professional asks us to work with them on a personal event! So, when Natalie came to us for her daughter’s wedding, we were so honored and excited. Natalie is a seasoned event pro and owner of The Burnside Group, so we knew we were in for a fabulous design.

Haley wanted an elegant and romantic, yet modern feel and together we were able to create some wedding magic with a modern and glamorous vibe. Since their venue, Hotel Monaco, makes a statement, Haley said she was thinking of keeping the reception color palette fairly neutral. She wanted to work with black and white with touches of gold and greenery, but was very open to a pop of color somewhere for added wow factor. So we went all out with some gorgeous bright pinks and reds for her bouquet and ceremony space. Per James’s request, we included lots of wild greenery throughout the wedding. Natalie and Haley knew they wanted a unique ceremony backdrop. At the final meeting, Natalie let us know that they had secured Marbella’s Palmer shelves and asked us to create something unique! Our design team got to work sketching and scheming something that had never been done before. The results were nothing short of stunning. And now we’re seeing Palmer shelves popping up in ceremonies elsewhere. We love a good trend-setting moment!

Leaning more towards the romantic side, we kept the reception space in an entirely white and greenery palette with the floral designs. Gold candelabras and plenty of candles scattered throughout provided the perfect finishing touch.

We adorned James and Haley’s cake with hot pink roses for a fun statement pop and to tie the reception space in with the ceremony florals. Speaking of the ceremony florals, that space was flipped to a gorgeous lounge area for guests to enjoy all night long!
