Fun. Elegant. Wow-factor. The epitome of a romantic Grand Ballroom wedding done right. That is how I would describe Gina and Brian’s Omni William Penn Hotel in September. Their color palette of ivory, burgundy and mauve with a hint of blue paired perfectly with the room. Please don’t miss her Hayley Paige gown and gorgeously beaded veil from Bridal Beginning! Special Thank You to Jen Mcken Photography for all of the gorgeous captures.
I have to say, Gina’s bouquet was one of my favorites of 2019. A pavé design with well-blended blushes, mauve and ivory and just the tiniest hint of blue, the floral selection included Princess Miyuki garden roses, Faith roses, Pink Hanoi ranunculus, and white astilbe. A small amount of continus tucked in deep brought in the burgundy color Gina wanted and a few gardenia leaves added some luster.
Gina and Brian opted to use our wrought iron ceremony structure that was custom created for us by Artifact Metal Works and Hip Iron (both local Pittsburgh artisans), which we then backed with black fabric to help create a more intimate space. If there is a room in Pittsburgh where this piece feels right at home, it is the Urban Room at the Omni William Penn.
Our 37” Milan vases anchored the couple and carried their color palette onto the stage. Two of their tall centerpieces were repurposed and placed at the beginning of the aisle for balance and we created a romantic path by placing candles at intervals along the way.
We always love when we get to hear the vows of our couples since we often do not get to witness the most important part of their wedding day! We hid in the Grand Ballroom waiting for the room flip so we could put the final touches on the party. The Milan vases were moved to flank the band (Protege was amazing as always!) And the tall centerpieces were placed on their tables. The room was decked with 10 clear glass Garnier vases topped with lush designs of hydrangea, roses, spray roses, thistle, continus and greenery. On the remaining tables, our Sophie vases were filled with the same blooms and candles were all around to add ambiance. Gina sourced sequin table runners from Linen Hero for her two 8’ rectangle tables where the bridesmaids bouquets provided the floral amongst an extensive collection of votives.
