Part-Time Floral Designer
Job Summary
Approximately 15 hrs/week. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Part-Time Floral Designer to join our team. In this role, you will design and assemble on-brand floral arrangements for various occasions, maintain the freshness of our inventory, and provide exceptional customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Assembly: Create custom floral arrangements, bouquets, and centerpieces for retail sales, weddings, funerals, and corporate events.
- Floral Care: Trim, water, and condition fresh flowers and greenery upon arrival to ensure maximum longevity and quality.
- Customer Service: Assist walk-in and phone-in customers with selections, take orders accurately, and provide advice on floral care and seasonal availability.
- Inventory & Maintenance: Monitor stock levels of flowers and supplies; maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace including sanitizing buckets and display cases, sweeping floors, taking out trash, and other basic shop needs.
- Sales & Administrative: Process transactions using Point of Sale (POS) systems and handle customer inquiries professionally.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience: Some floral design experience is a strong positive, however, we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of color theory, floral design principles, and botanical identification are a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30–50 lbs (buckets of water/large arrangements).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and the ability to work under pressure during high-volume holidays like Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.
Working Hours
- This is a part-time position with flexible shifts.
- Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Retail Flower Shop Manager/Head Designer
Approximately 35-40 hrs/week. Our 15-year-old flower studio is opening second location in Zelienople, PA and we are looking for a retail flower shop manager to foster growth, a team mentality, and a community-focused approach in our newest home. The successful candidate will be responsible for sales, design, ordering, and staffing to carry out daily retail floral arrangements. They will also be responsible for maintaining an orderly and tidy shop and cooler and fostering a positive team mentality in the shop. As the shop community holds many events per year, the retail manager will also be responsible for overseeing and participating in these events as a business. Responsibilities and Duties
Reports to CEO
- As lead designer for this division, create on-brand floral arrangements for retail
and small event orders
- Provide a high level of customer service for clients and encourage this in design and sales staff as well
- Maintaining floral purchasing process for retail and small events in conjunction with our other shop
- Establish and maintain relationships with wholesalers/local flower farms
- Submit staffing requests & scheduling for deliveries when needed
- Responsible for maintenance of inventory, order, and cleanliness of flower
shop
- Supervise other designers/freelancers under this division to ensure quality and
brand maintenance
- Monitor pages, links, and updates for retail websites, and submit updates to the web team as necessary
- Establish marketing schedules and collaborate with social media manager
and photographers for holidays and promotions to increase sales
- Manage controllable costs to keep retail and small event division profitable
- Provides cost analysis, and sales growth reports monthly.
Qualifications and Skills
- 3 years + of floral design experience
- Well-versed in color theory, design style and floral design mechanics
- 2+ years experience in customer service and sales
- Good computer skills (POS system, email, and able to learn our estimating
software quickly)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of organization and time management
- Enjoys working in a a multifaceted role that spans from design-heavy to
sales and sales analysis
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, reach and stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift 40#
Job Type and Compensation
- Starting at 30-40 hrs/week based on time of year
- Availability Tuesday-Saturday with some evenings necessary for special events
- Extra hours may be required around floral holidays
- Compensation to commiserate with experience
Office Manager/Event Inventory Manager
Part Time- 10-15 hrs per week (Mondays are required except holidays). Some on-site time is required, however, some hours can be work from home if desired.

We are a modern-day flower shop seeking an office and inventory manager who is highly organized and enjoys creating systems to enhance productivity and workflow. Schedule can be flexible but Mondays are required, dress is casual. The position does require some on-site time but many tasks can be completed from home. Tasks to include (but not limited to):
Office Management:
- Client relations- Managing an inbox to answer inquiry and general emails from event and retail clients, following up with appointments and payment reminders and paperwork, keep files up to date, etc.
- Vendor communications- handling requests for paperwork or requesting paperwork/timelines from event vendors
- Invoicing, receiving payments in Quickbooks and our event-specific software (light book keeping duties)
- Help to manage the shop workflow by maintaining necessary paperwork and files (including new-hire paperwork)
- Run errands for supplies as needed
Event Inventory Management:
- Maintaining the inventory of our vast amount of rentals and shop supplies
- Checking in items, cleaning and putting them away after each event
- Pulling, cleaning and organizing rentals and supplies for upcoming events
- Managing associated paperwork with supply lists for each event
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills- professional and upbeat
- Familiar with Mac OS (Numbers, Pages, etc.)
- Comfortable learning how to use estimating systems and POS/Website systems

Delivery Driver/Shop Assistant (Same position)
Job summary:
Part-time, 12-16 hours/week. We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused delivery driver to join our floral team. As the face of our business, you will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of beautiful floral arrangements, plants, and gifts to our customers. You must be able to handle delicate items with care, navigate efficient delivery routes, and provide exceptional customer service at every stop.
Key responsibilities:
- Safe and timely delivery: Transport floral arrangements and products to residential homes, businesses, hospitals, and event venues in excellent condition.
- Route planning: Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to ensure all orders are delivered on schedule, especially during busy seasons.
- Customer service: Serve as a friendly and professional point of contact with customers during deliveries.
- Vehicle maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle, including fueling and reporting any issues.
- Order management: Carefully load and unload the vehicle, verify order details, and obtain signatures or confirmations of delivery.
- In-shop support: Assist with general shop duties during non-delivery times, such as processing flowers, organizing packaging, and general cleanup.
- Record keeping: Maintain delivery logs, reports, and records of completed orders.
Qualifications and skills:
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry floral arrangements and packages up to [insert weight, e.g., 40–50] pounds.
