Phipps Conservatory | Pittsburgh, PA
November is not traditionally the first month you would pick for your wedding in Western Pennsylvania, right? Well, in the past few years we’ve seen quite the increase in late Fall/ Winter weddings. Lexi and Nick are the perfect example of how to rock it! Lexi’s Hayley Paige gown, with it’s long, detail-laden sleeves, the crisp light and magical sunset that Leeann Marie utilized so well in their photos, and the warm feeling created by candlelight and color at Phipps Conservatory were all perfect details to their perfect day. We loved working with this wonderful couple and are so excited to share their beautiful wedding with you!
Lexi and Nick wanted their wedding to be elegant. This was accomplished by using deep burgundy and plum tones balanced by neutrals and by keeping the arrangements tame in shape but focused on texture. Ruby hydrangea were the staple of the luscious burgundy hue. To complement, red roses, mauve astrantia, and blackberry scabiosa provided similar. Adding to the texture were astilbe and various type of foliage including eucalyptus, huckleberry, and smokebush. And of course, lots of candlelight on the tables exuded romance and warmth!
