I’ve got a new (renewed?) MO these days: educating couples on the real cost of wedding flowers. There is so little good information out there on how much wedding flowers cost. Hard numbers. For good reason- the real numbers vary so much between season, region, and even florist.
The best way I can think to put numbers on some flowers are to show you photos of work my company has done and put a price tag on them for you. If I sold you this very bouquet, it would cost X dollars at the time I sold it.
These flowers were created in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in July and pricing based on 2020 market. Prices and exact design would be subject to variation based on availability of the product, time of year, and market trend. Prices listed are for the flowers you see ONLY. They do not include necessary services and taxes. Depending on your location, you can expect to add approximately 25-35% onto your floral order to cover these fees for a full service wedding or event. (Full Service: delivered, white glove set up and post-event tear down). That number is highly subjective. The prices listed also are inclusive of a design fee. Please know that some florists break out their design fees as a separate line item and therefore their service fee/percentage would be higher and the line item price could be lower. Ugh- do you see why this is so complex?
Over-sized, modern cascade bouquet with premium blooms: $375.00
Long and lush draping table centerpiece designed in 11″ open vessel (rented): $335
Individual place setting greenery (Nagi) with double face satin ribbon: $5 each, does not include the tag
Rented candlesticks with rose toppers: $20 each
Custom copper garden arbor (rental exclusive to The Blue Daisy Floral Designs) draped with 30′ of white voile fabric and accented with floral corners: $600
Florals used overall: ‘Combo’ roses, ‘Caramel Antike’ garden roses, ‘Alabaster’ garden roses, ‘Vendela’ roses, ‘White Majolica’ spray roses, anemone, lisianthus, thistle, orlaya, springeri, nagi, bay laurel, Gunnii eucalyptus, sage.
It is important to note that this is a styled shoot. When we do styled shoots, we us a lot of premium blooms (‘Combo’ roses and the garden roses) because we can. And we want to. It’s our time to play with the flowers we dream of playing with. For instance, I could create a similar centerpiece for closer to $275 if we didn’t use the garden roses. Maybe less if we didn’t use the ‘Combo’ roses but you’ll sacrifice that gorgeous color as there aren’t too many less expensive subs for those beauties.
This was a gorgeous styled shoot spear-headed by the lovely ladies at A&L Events. Photography by the immensely talented Lauren Renee Photography. Please give some love to the rest of the contributing vendors below and stalk more images from when it was featured on Trendy Bride Magazine!
