Part two of our Venue Two Ways series is Kimpton’s Hotel Monaco in downtown Pittsburgh! We always enjoy working at Hotel Monaco and are excited to share two different ways to transform the ballroom spaces in this fun and modern hotel.
First, we have Sara and Coby’s wedding! Their ceremony was held at Assumption Church in Bellevue, followed by cocktail hour and reception in the ballrooms at Hotel Monaco. Sara wanted lots of organic, textural greenery with touches of white flowers. To create a more intimate space in the high ceilinged ballroom, we designed these lovely compote arrangements for the tables. The gold compotes and gold mercury glass candles complimented the gold accents throughout the rest of the room.
Sara’s bridesmaids wore lovely dusty blue dresses. Their bouquets coordinated perfectly with the textural greenery, white flowers, and thistle for a pop of dusty blue.
To continue the organic greenery vibes throughout the entire space, we adorned their cake with coordinating stems. Our gold Dorado compotes accented the escort card table and cookie table to tie everything together perfectly. Plus, lots of candles throughout the room added a touch of romance.
For our second wedding feature at Hotel Monaco, we have Haley and James’s wedding! Both the ceremony and reception took place at Hotel Monaco. The ceremony was held in the Sofia ballroom. We filled the space with lots of hot pink flowers and rich, textural greenery. We custom designed this ceremony backdrop on Marbella’s Palmer gold bar backs. The florals really popped in the ballroom against the black, white, and gold color scheme.
While guests were enjoying dinner in the Sheffield ballroom, All Occasions brought in lounge sofas to transform the ceremony space into a lounge space for guests to enjoy all throughout the night. This is a great way to reuse your ceremony backdrop and get the most out of your event space rental.
With her bridesmaids in black with white bouquets, Haley’s hot pink bouquet really popped!
Fun fact: Haley and James’s ceremony was inspired by this editorial shoot we did at Hotel Monaco with Burgh Brides and Leeann Marie Photography. So you’re getting a bonus design at this iconic Pittsburgh venue!
Haley and James’s wedding is a great example of Hotel Monaco two ways on its own! The reason for this is the color scheme for the reception was completely different from the ceremony. After cocktail hour, guests were welcomed into the Sheffield ballroom, where they were greeted by a much more subtle color palette. The reception featured black sequin linens with loads greenery, white flowers, candles, and gold accents.
We used gold candelabras, gold cylinders, and our gold Strata pots to create three different centerpiece designs throughout the reception space. Draping greenery and soft, romantic white and cream blooms adorned their sweetheart table. We did include a nod to the ceremony design with lots of hot pink roses on the cake, though!
